CZwXnqOW0AIqG3GAfter scoring his first goal in months, Juventus forward Alvaro Morata was delighted to get back on the score-sheet in his side’s 3-0 win at home to Inter in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final.

The Spaniard had not scored since the 3-1 win against Bologna in October and Morata has admitted that the last few months have been tough.

“I hope it’s behind me, this night is huge for me,” Morata told reporters after the Inter match.

“The truth is that this has been a pretty tough time for me, not just on the field but off it.

“I think it was a mental problem as I was having troubles in my own head.

“I want to be a great player and in order to do so I have to leave my troubles on the sidelines when I take to the pitch.

“I have to once again thank my teammates in this incredible team, as they speak to me every day and give me great support.

“I’ve been working every day to re-find my form and feel I am a different player to yesterday, as strikers live for goals and I hope to get many more.”
