Obiang - SampdoriaPalermo are reportedly interested in acquiring West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang, who used to play for Serie A rivals Sampdoria.

Obiang left Italy last summer and since moving to London he’s made 16 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions, creating one assist.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rosanero are already working on a deal to bring the former Spanish Under-21 international to the Stadio Renza Barbera.

During his time at Sampdoria, Obiang was a crucial member of Il Doria’s team making 88 starts over the course of four seasons in Genoa.

The Spaniard started his career at Atletico Madrid before moving to Italy with Sampdoria in 2008, eventually making his debut in 2010 as an 18-year-old.

Palermo have endured a difficult season and currently find themselves six points ahead of the relegation zone but have just been taken over by former Lanus coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
