Aurelio De Laurentiis NapoliNapoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t think his team’s trip to face Juventus will decide the title as there’s still a number of fixtures over the horizon.

The film producer is expecting the fixture to be a great event and one where a positive result will be relished.

“There’s still another 13 fixtures after that, the title won’t be won in Turin,” said De Laurentiis to La Stampa.

“Juventus are an extraordinary club that have a strong structure which has endured some challenges over recent years.

“It would be a historic event if we are able to beat them in front of their fans in the league.

“I expect that it will be a very tactical game at the start and then the will to win will emerge and it could be a great spectacle.”

The 66-year-old also discussed his relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri.

“In cinema the director is key, with [Walter] Mazzarri and [Rafa] Benitez I never had a director,” De Laurentiis added.

“Today we have Jorginho and [Mirko] Valdifiori who was key to the arrival of our current coach.

“I liked Sarri immediately because he didn’t talk about the transfer market but of a project.”

The Partenopei patron also tipped star striker Gonzalo Higuain for further greatness after the Argentina striker has scored 24 in 24.

“Gonzalo has a winning mentality and he’s there for the team,” De Laurentiis went on.

“Family is his strength, he has an excellent group around him.

“If he stays, he could write history like [Diego] Maradona.”
