Eder ItalyInter striker Eder has identified Champions League qualification as his and the side’s objective for the remainder of the season while also suggesting that should certain results go their way, the Biscione could find themselves back in contention for the Scudetto.

Having topped the table for a significant period of time before Christmas, Roberto Mancini’s men have since faded away, with Napoli and Juventus pulling clear at the top, and the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza side now find themselves in fourth place, 11 points off top spot.

“Qualifying for the Champions League would be a dream,” the Brazil-born Italy international told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Our destiny is in our own hands and we must look to take advantage of that.

“Maybe if Napoli and Juventus draw and we win against Fiorentina, people will start to talk about us for the Scudetto again.

“It is important that we do well in the matches against the other big teams.”

Eder was showing fine form for Sampdoria this season before moving to Inter the San Siro and has scored 12 times in 22 Serie A appearances.
