Bernardeschi: I dreamt of scoring for Fiorentina as a child

Federico Bernardeschi FiorentinaFiorentina‘s Federico Bernardeschi is delighted to be playing for La Viola and has revealed he has achieved his childhood ambition by scoring in their colours.

The 21-year-old has proved to be a sensation for the Tuscans this season, though netted just his second goal in Italy’s premier division during his side’s 1-1 draw against Bologna at the weekend.

“Making my debut in the Viola shirt at the Stadio Artemio Franchi was very exciting,” he told the media, whilst present at the Junior Tim Cup event.

“Scoring my first goal [last year] in Serie A was amazing, I have dreamed of scoring for this shirt since I was a child.

“I have always tried hard to achieve this dream and it’s an indescribable feeling, it gave me goosebumps and it’s a moment I will remember for the rest of my life.

“For me it is an honour and a great joy to receive such support from all the fans, with so many people screaming my name and cheering me on.”
