Mancini InterDespite Inter‘s sparkling start to the season, coach Roberto Mancini’s future now seems to be in doubt as he is facing his toughest run to date at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Nerazzurri have fallen a long way from their glittering form which led them top of Serie A during the first half of the season, having lost three of their past eight league games, plummeting down into fourth place.

According to Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo, a meeting will now be held between the coach and club president Erick Thohir prior to their side’s trip to Fiorentina on Sunday, with the Indonesian businessman set to discuss Mancini’s current contract.

Doubts remain on both sides over the Italian’s future, as Thohir has become frustrated with his team currently sitting out side of a Champions League spot despite heavy summer investment, and could issue an ultimatum to the 51-year-old during the course of the meeting.

Mancini is also reportedly hesitant on talks of a contract renewal and is considering trying his luck at one of Arsenal, Chelsea or Paris Saint Germain, who he reportedly sees as fine fits to add yet more experience to his career.

Whilst it remains to be seen whether he will choose to flee the club over penning a new deal, Mancini’s future will undoubtedly be placed on the line should the Nerazzurri lose out to Fiorentina on Sunday evening.
