roberto manciniInter coach Roberto Mancini has pulled himself out of the race to be the next Italy coach and is concentrated on Sunday’s Derby D’Italia against Juventus.

With current Azzurri boss Antonio Conte reportedly agreeing to a deal with Chelsea that will see him taking over the Blues’ bench after Euro 2016, there were reports that Mancini could take over but the 51-year-old was quick to quell these rumours.

“I am happy at Inter so coaching Italy is not on my mind at this time,” Mancini told Inter Channel.

“It is too early to speak of this right now but perhaps in the future it will be something that I consider.”

The former Manchester City coach then turned his focus to Sunday’s big derby.

“Tomorrow will be a tough match in a hostile environment,” Mancini said.

“We need to go on the offensive, we lacked attacking impetus the last time we met in the Coppa Italia.

“We cannot take Bayern Munich as an example of how to make Juventus suffer as they are a much different team.

“This is not a decisive match as there are still so many points up for grabs this season but it is clear that we need to recover the points which we have dropped of late.”
