Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has hinted towards the summer arrival of Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano.
The 25-year-old had been linked with the Nerazzurri throughout the January transfer window and was even on the verge of joining Napoli on deadline day last summer.
Calciomercato report that, during a conversation with Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero at the referee’s summit in Rome on Monday, Ausilio jokingly remarked to the 64-year-old: “Take care, Soriano is booked.”
There are even suggestions that there is already an agreement between Inter and the player’s representatives and the club are waiting patiently for Sampdoria to sign off on the transfer.
Inter are prepared to use Dodo, currently on loan with the Blucerchiati, and primavera forward Ionut Radu as makeweight in the deal.
Soriano has netted four times this term as his Sampdoria side hover perilously close to the relegation zone.
