Balotelli AC Milan AlessandriaAdriano Galliani, vice-president of AC Milan, has alluded to an extended stay for striker Mario Balotelli as talks of a potential transfer with Liverpool look scheduled to commence this summer.

The 25 year-old returned to the club where he clocked the best scoring figures of his competitive career, and despite the move only taking the form of a temporary loan, the Italian doesn’t appear to have a future at Anfield.

“I don’t see why he cant make the move but it still depends on many factors,” said Galliani to the assembled media at Lega Calcio. “He belongs to Liverpool but we will talk in the summer.”

The statements reflect those made by former Italian prime minister and club owner Silvio Berlusconi, who admitted a ‘financial sacrifice’ could be made in order to facilitate the move.

No buy-out clause was put in place when Balotelli returned to the Stadio San Siro from Liverpool, but the Reds will probably expect a return on the €20 million they paid just two years ago.
