Maxi Lopez - Torino v RomaOlympique Marseille are weighing up a move for Torino forward Maxi Lopez.

The former Barcelona player has found playing time hard to come by in recent weeks, and has missed out on making the match-day squad for the past four matches.

It is thought any deal would initially be a loan for the remainder of the season, with the option to purchase in the summer.

Torino head coach Giampiero Ventura would prefer to keep his man even though he has scored just five goals in 20 appearances this season.

Scoring nine league goals last term, the Argentine could be useful though as they look to push on to the European places.

His playing time hasn’t been helped by his lack of fitness after he had returned after the winter break at 97kg.

“I am going to work hard every day to prove that I can make the difference,” Lopez said in response to questions regarding his commitment to il Toro, yet he could be on the move on transfer deadline day.
