Palermo coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto has reportedly left the club after failing to obtain a licence to oversee his side in Serie A matches.

The sensational news comes just a month after the Argentine took over the Sicilians, as part of president Maurizio Zamparini’s new project.

Reports from Sky Sport Italia claim that Schelotto has grown frustrated of coaching his team without being able to sit on the bench and has told  Zamparini of his decision to quit the club and return home.

Schelotto has been forced to sit aside during match days ever since his arrival in January, as Palermo have struggled to obtain the necessary paperwork in order to allow him pitch-side.

The Rosanero patron is now left with the dilemma of yet another coaching change, though is likely to continue with Giovanni Tedesco on the bench, who could later be joined by the team’s Primavera coach Giovanni Bosi.
