Rudiger RomaGermany international defender Antonio Rudiger feels very happy to be at Roma and believes that new coach Luciano Spalletti is doing a good job.

The 22-year-old did struggle early on since moving from Stuttgart but he claims that he now feels as though he has acclimatised to life in the Italian capital.

“I feel very good and I’m happy at the moment,” said Rudiger to Roma Radio.

“I had a difficult start because it was the first time I had left my country but now I feel at home.

“I want to thank the fans for how they treated me in the Frosinone game. It was a nice feeling to be appreciated, especially as the team hadn’t performed well in the previous months.

“It was an embrace from the fans.”

The centre-back then insisted that the Giallorossi must continue to take each game as it comes.

“We’ve changed the coach and Spalletti is doing a good job,” Rudiger added.

“We’ve played well and won in the last two games but that doesn’t mean anything and so we must stay focused on the next match.

“That’s the mentality we need to have at the moment.”
