sarri napoliNapoli coach Maurizio Sarri feels his team still played well despite losing 1-0 to Juventus on Saturday night.

The Neapolitans were only beaten by a deflected shot by Simone Zaza as they defended stoutly throughout much of the match.

“It was a quiet game with very few chances.” said Sarri to Mediaset Premium. “We maybe created one more than them.

“We were unfortunate to lose. The team played well, but we could be have been more fluid going forward. Even Juventus went to a 4-5-1 and had settled for a draw.

“We must be stronger in certain occasions but it was not easy against Juventus. The result is harsh. The team did a great job defensively but we were a bit timid in attack.”

Sarri also said that his team must keep believing in their Scudetto challenge despite the loss.

“The team must stay calm. A deflected shot does not change the fact that we are Scudetto challengers. Juventus are strong but we will fight till the end.

“We need to bounce back as soon as possible. Anything can happen in 13 games. We musy continue to focus on playing the way we play.

“Higuain did not have his best game but the team played very well.”
