Pep Guardiola conducts first training session at Bayern Munich - videoJuventus legend David Trezeguet believes that only time will tell if Pep Guardiola’s decision to join Manchester City proves to be the right one.

The Euro 2000 winner feels that the tactician’s credentials speak for themselves, as after a successful spell with Barcelona, the Spaniard has now transformed Bayern Munich into one of the most-dominant teams in the world.

“Bayern Munich are among the best teams in the world,” Trezeguet told Tuttosport.

“Guardiola has dominated domestically although he will regret not having won the Champions League.

“Now he has decided to go to Manchester City. Despite all the predictions, we shall see over time if it is the right or wrong move.”

The former Monaco player also stated that he would love to see Guardiola manage in Serie A at sometime in the future.

“I hope that over time, after his experience in England, we can see Guardiola in Italy, although there are great coaches here,” Trezeguet added.

The Manchester City coach-in-waiting previously represented Brescia and Roma in Serie A between 2001 and 2003.
