AC Milan are ready to open discussions with Keisuke Honda and Giacomo Bonaventura over their futures at the Rossoneri.

The pair have been integral to the side’s recent upturn in form and the hierarchy are desperate to retain both men.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that a meeting has been scheduled between the club and Bonaventura’s representatives to discuss an extension of the former Atalanta midfielder’s contract.

Additionally, the Rossoneri are keen to open discussions with Honda’s agent as the Japanese midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the next season.

The former CSKA Moscow man netted the decisive goal in his side’s 2-1 success over Genoa last month and has nailed down a starting berth in coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s XI after a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

Bonaventura, meanwhile, has registered seven assists and six goals for the Rossoneri this term.
