Thomas Muller GermanyBayern Munich forward Thomas Muller believes the Bundesliga champions will have to be at their best to qualify for the quarter-final of the Champions League ahead of Juventus.

The last-16 tie is currently finely poised with the aggregate score standing at 2-2 after the first-leg. The German giants hold the advantage with two away goals, but Muller was keen to stress Die Bayern must not be complacent.

“Juventus will play wisely, we will try to dominate the game and exploit any opportunity we can create from the beginning of the match. ” said Muller to Bayern’s official website.

“I am optimistic but also careful, because I know that Juventus in the first-leg created two goalscoring chances from almost nothing.

“It will be a battle, exactly as you would expect from the Champions League. Maybe this match comes too soon, we are only in the second round, but this is football. I can not wait to take to the field.”
