The agent of Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne is adamant that his client will feature at the upcoming European Championships for the Azzurri this summer.
The Italian’s place has been called into contention lately with reports suggesting that Fiorentina youngster Federico Bernardeschi may be given the nod instead.
“I can not imagine a Lorenzo which is not part of the group for the European Championships,” Antonio Ottaiano, his agent, told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“I struggle to find a number of alternatives to Lorenzo for the national team.
“The last call-up he was injured, but he managed to be on the bench for the few games and the coach decided not to risk it.”
The 24-year-old has netted 12 times this term while laying on a further 11 assists as his Partenopei outfit remain only three points adrift of leaders Juventus.
