Berlusconi + Sacchi AC MilanKey figures at AC Milan Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani and Arrigo Sacchi reportedly discussed possible new coaches over lunch after Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team has failed to win in their last four.

A heavy defeat in the Rossoneri’s next fixture against Juventus could pile the pressure on the Serbian although a Coppa Italia win against the same opponents may save him.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the three Milan figures met for lunch after attending memorial services for Cesare Maldini with Cristian Brocchi, Marcello Lippi and Eusebio Di Francesco discussed as possible appointments.

Berlusconi was reportedly keen on promoting Brocchi from the Primavera side as a cheaper option in an attempt to improve the Rossoneri’s form.

Galliani’s suggested Lippi as his preferred option while Sacchi argued that Di Francesco would be the ideal choice after previously having been ignored at the same stage last season when he suggested Maurizio Sarri only for the club to select Mihajlovic.

Further meetings are expected between the trio although those three are considered to be the frontrunners should the incumbent Mihajlovic be relieved of his duties.
