A UEFA Cup winner at Inter as a player, current Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is sure that he’ll return to the Nerazzurri as a coach one day.
The two-time La Liga Coach of the Year continues to take Atletico to new heights with another Champions League final in the offing, but despite enormous success at the club he still has his sights set on Italy in the future.
“Javier Zanetti has already heard it from me on the telephone and I’m not afraid to say it, one day I will return to Inter,” he revealed to Premium Sport.
“I left a nice memory there as a player and I have the goal to come back as a coach.”
Argentine Simeone has five trophies under his belt as Atletico boss, including the Europa League in 2012, the Copa del Rey in 2013 and La Liga title in 2014.
