manciniAn approach for Roberto Mancini by the Italian National Team would likely be a successful one, as the man himself said he wouldn’t be able to turn it down.

The current Inter boss is among a number of candidates, including Leicester City tactician Claudio Ranieri, to become the next Italy coach once Antonio Conte departs after the upcoming European Championship.

“Not everyone gets the chance to coach the national team,” Mancini said to Premium Sport, addressing the potential situation.

“The work is obviously different to club football, but it can be equally nice and pleasant.

“It would be an achievement for anyone, and if it comes you have to accept it because it is a great thing.”

Mancini has overseen his Inter side slip down the table over the course of the season, with the Nerazzurri atop the standings at the start of the season and in the Champions League places for at least half of the campaign.
