Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon praised the club and the group of players for winning a historic title in Serie A.

He added his most important save was that against Torino on 31 October 2015, when Juve won and started the incredible streak of 24 wins out of 25 games that handed the Scudetto to the Bianconeri.

“It’s an epochal scudetto, and it’s thanks to the club and the group,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We won it after an unbelievable comeback.

“It was the victory of our group of players and of an excellent club that supported us when needed and even told us off at the right moments.

“Thanks to them we managed to win this.”

Buffon was in top form yet again this season as he propelled Juventus towards another title, but he has a contender for favourite save of the season in mind.

“My most important save was against Torino. They would have scored their second, instead we scored on the final minute and that win fuelled the streak of victories,” he concluded.
