Sassuolo to the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on Sunday afternoon, looking to bounce back from their midweek disappointment against Roma.

The Granata had twice taken the lead at the home of the Giallorossi through Andrea Belotti, but were ultimately undone by Francesco Totti in the final stages of the match, when the Italian rose from the substitutes bench to score twice in four minutes to halt Torino’s momentum.

Concerns over Giampiero Ventura’s side stability were questioned after their harrowing 4-1 home to Juventus, but the Granata have since overcome their recent problems, successfully distancing themselves from the perilous relegation zone.

A famous away victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza was followed up by successive wins over Atalanta and a resolute Bologna side.

Sassuolo, meanwhile, had their European hopes seriously dented with a goalless draw at home to Sampdoria in midweek. The Neroverdi now sit three points adrift of AC Milan in sixth place, having played a game less.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s outfit have won just once in their last six outings, though spurned the opportunity to halt that winless stretch when Domenico Berardi ballooned his spot-kick over the bar on Tuesday evening against the Liguain outfit.

However, Torino have not fared well against the Neroverdi since their promotion to the top-flight.

The reverse fixture between these two sides ended up a 1-1 draw at the Mapei Stadium, rescheduled in December after fog forced the clash into postponement.

As for injuries and suspensions, the Granata will be without the services of Maxi Lopez in attack, while talisman Ciro Immobile also remains sidelined.

In addition, Marco Benassi, Daniele Avelar and Afriye Acquah have been ruled out.

As for Sassuolo, they will be without Gregoire Defrel and Simone Missiroli. Davide Biondini is also expected to miss out.
