Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City)AC Milan Chief Executive Officer Adriano Galliani has reportedly set his sights on Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini and Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic as potential summer additions.

The Rossoneri’s coaching controversy and a general lack of invention in the midfield have been two topics of much discussion throughout the season and Galliani seems poised to rectify both fronts during the off-season.

As reported by Tuttosport, the CEO was recently present at the semi-final clash of the Champions League between Los Blancos and the Sky Blues, as he begins his pursuit of the duo.

Pellegrini, whose tenure with the Citizens will come to an end at the conclusion of this season, could be the man chosen to replace incumbent coach Cristian Brocchi, who took over from Sinisa Mihajlovic just last month.

The 71-year-old was scheduled to meet Los Merengues owner Florentino Perez in a meeting designed to discuss the future of Kovacic, who has been used sparingly at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium since arriving from Milan’s city rivals Inter.

Galliani has come under incessant pressure to vacate his post amidst unrest from supporters and will be desperate to get things right this summer in order to appease Rossoneri faithful.
