AC Milan coach Cristian Brocchi’s mind.

Brocchi leads his Milan troops into Saturday’s showpiece final with giant question marks hanging over his future at the club, but says he only cares about ending the side’s five year trophy drought.

“What counts is the final,” he insisted in his pre match press conference.

“I’d be happy with continuing as coach of AC Milan, but I’m not important at the moment.

“What matters is the team playing well in the final.”

There have been difficulties for the former Primavera boss since taking over from Sinisa Mihajlovic earlier in the season, but even if he fails to clinch a trophy then he says he’ll still be incredibly thankful for the opportunity.

“If I’m not the coach next season, then I can still say that I have had a wonderful experience.”
