The 19-year-old right-back was given a rare start in the final and he was satisfied with the way his team played, despite the manner in which Alvaro Morata scored the winner for the Bianconeri.
“We played like a great team in this match [and] we put Juve under pressure,” Calabria said on the Milan Channel. “We conceded a goal on the break [and] we should not have conceded like that.
“We concluded the season with knowledge that we can be a great team. We didn’t do well in the league [but] with the right mentality, we can play a particular type of football.
“This match must be a starting point for next season.”
The 2016 Coppa Italia Final was the first one that AC Milan have reached since 2003, when they last won the tournament.
