Amidst speculation linking Empoli‘s Piotr Zielinski with a move to Premier League side Liverpool, the midfielder has admitted that he would like to play under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
The 21-year-old, who is still owned by Udinese, is one of the hottest prospects in Serie A and has been heavily linked with an imminent move away from the Stadio Carlo Castellani.
“My opinion of Klopp is that he is one of the best coaches around,” Zielinski said in an interview with Who Scored. “I think it would be an honour to work with him, however, it is my agent who discusses these things.
“I do not really know if my style of play is suited to the Premier League and I do not know anything about my future at this point.”
Zielinski has been a key player for the Tuscan side this season, contributing four goals and as many assists in his 33 Serie A appearances to date.
