The MLS Players Union recently released the salaries of all players and the gap between the haves and have-nots remain significant.

Former AC Milan star Kaka tops the list, earning a whopping €6.33 million per year, marginally ahead of ex-Juventus attacker Sebastian Giovinco at €6.29m.

The Bianconeri’s old maestro and Kaka’s old Milan teammate Pirlo finds himself sixth on the moneymakers chart at €5.23 million.

By comparison, the league’s minimum salary remains at a mere €45,894, though steadily increasing.

Statistically speaking, Toronto’s Atomic Ant has had by far the largest impact of the three players, with 30 goals and 18 assists in 45 matches since moving to Canada in January of 2015 and taking league MVP honours last season.

Kaka has also found reasonable success since joining Orlando City, amassing 11 goals and 8 assists in 33 MLS appearances, while remaining in moderately good health.

Pirlo has found it most difficult to adapt to the physicality of the North American game since arriving in New York last summer and has failed to register a single goal in 23 matches, tallying just four assists.
