Former AC Milan coach edging closer to joining Torino

Mihajlovic MilanHaving been dismissed by AC Milan last month, Mihajlovic has resolved his contractual situation with the Rossoneri ahead of a potential move to Torino.

With Giampiero Ventura linked with succeeding Antonio Conte as Italy boss after Euro 2016, Mihajlovic has emerged as the frontrunner for the Torino job should it become available and now the former Sampdoria coach can begin formal talks with the club.

“AC Milan announces that it has terminated, with effect from 30 June 2016, the contract of Sinisa Mihajlovic. The club wishes him all the luck for his future career,” An official announcement from Milan stated.

Milan and Mihajlovic meet this week and settled for a payment of around €1 million to the Serbian coach, leaving him free to take another job in Serie A.

Torino president Urbano Cairo has already stated that the club are interested in Mihajlovic as a potential replacement for Ventura.
