stelloneFrosinone coach Roberto Stellone is proud of his team’s effort after his side’s 3-3 draw against AC Milan but has questioned the referee’s performance.

The match saw the Canarini concede two penalties for handballs in the box, and the bench boss was not convinced of one of the decisions.

“The first penalty was clear but I will review the second call because I do not feel that Vasiliy Priyma was at fault for the handball,” Stellone told Rai Sport.

“Also, I do not understand why Mario Balotelli was not shown a second yellow card for intentionally handling the ball.”

Despite the controversy, Stellone remained positive about his team’s performance.

“Milan are a quality side and took possession of the ball but we did well to go ahead, twice doubling our advantage,” the 38-year-old said.

“We are disappointed at the result because we played a strong match but we suffered at the end of the match and threw away two points.

“Nevertheless, I must compliment the team who played a wonderful match in an important stadium.”

The result sees the Gialloazzurri four points back of Carpi and Serie A salvation, with only two matches remaining in the season.

“Safety will be difficult but we have not yet been condemned mathematically,” he said.

“Next Sunday against Sassuolo we will attempt to make our fans proud, who continue to support us despite our struggles.”
