Inter coach Roberto Mancini has expressed his congratulations to the newly promoted Serie B team, Crotone.
The Squali were able to secure a Serie A spot for the first time in their 93-year-old history, and have received high praise from clubs and personalities from Italy’s highest division.
Among them, Mancini has displayed his satisfaction for another underdog story in contemporary football, by saying on Twitter: “I wish them good luck, these are the good things that happen in football.”
Along with their coach, the Nerazzurri were keen on congratulating Crotone as well, with a message from the club: “We will be waiting for you at San Siro.”
The two teams have never faced each other in their history, while Crotone have played AC Milan at Stadio San Siro for a Coppa Italia clash last December. That match was won 3-1 by the Rossoneri.
