berardi sassuoloSassuolo striker Domenico Berardi has become a transfer target for Serie A rivals Juventus as well as Spanish giants Barcelona.

The 21-year-old has been a protagonist for the Neroverdi in their first three seasons in Italy’s top flight but now the small club from Emilia-Romagna could find it harder to hold onto their talisman in the summer.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona want to find a striker who can take the places of either Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez or Neymar when necessary.

Blaugrana sporting director Ariedo Braida wants to bring Berardi to the Catalan club but he also has an interest in Sevilla forward Kevin Gameiro.

Juventus are reportedly making deals to secure the services of Barca veterans Javier Mascherano and Dani Alves and they are close to also acquiring Berardi but the Catalans are hoping that they can entice the starlet to make the switch to La Liga instead.

It is also believed that the Sassuolo star is not keen to leave the club because he wants to play in a team that can guarantee him regular playing time.
