Sampdoria 5-0.

Goalscorers Patrice Evra, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and two for Paulo Dybala completed the drubbing in Turin.

“I’m happy, it was a great match and we were able to celebrate with the fans, who have always supported us,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“Even after some difficult early games where we were a little unstable, we set out our objectives and the players surpassed them.

“We still have a Coppa Italia final to play, but what happened earlier this season shows that nothing can be taken for granted.”

Allegri was then asked which of his players he thought deserved to be nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or trophy.

“I’d be happy if any of my players got into the running for such a prestigious award. Paul Pogba has certainly matured.

“Considering this is his first season here at Juventus, I think Paulo Dybala has become a clinical striker in our attack.”

Questions were then raised on a finding potential stand-in for the injured Claudio Marchisio on the transfer market.

“We’ll work together just as we did last year, we have made a lot of changes so nobody can expect the same results.

“We need to find players who have Juventus in their DNA and can raise the quality of this team,” he concluded.
