The Bianconeri go toe-to-toe with AC Milan on Saturday evening in Italy’s domestic cup final, and the fiery centre-back believes that his side will come into the match fully focused on winning another title.

“Some people may think that are bellies are full but this is not so,” Chiellini told members of the media during his pre-match press conference.

“Both teams head into this match with motivation, Milan have European competition on the line but we have a chance at making history.”

The 31-year-old has been plagued by injuries this season but has finally regained fitness and is ready to give one hundred percent on Saturday.

“It was frustrating to miss time this season but I am ready to play, the former Fiorentina man noted.

“We are all keen to do well and win this cup.”

In the absence of the suspended Leonardo Bonucci, youngster Daniele Rugani is set to feature on the Bianconeri backline and Chiellini has been left impressed by the development of the 21-year-old.

“I have always spoken highly of Rugani, even when he wasn’t playing,” Chiellini said.

“A first season with Juve at his age was always going to be difficult but he is always learning and is now ready to play in a cup final.”
