simone inzaghiLazio coach Simone Inzaghi is pleased with his side’s effort after another positive result on Sunday afternoon against Carpi.

The Biancocelesti emerged from the Stadio Alberto Braglia with a 3-1 victory over the Biancorossi and have won four of their six matches since Inzaghi replaced Stefano Pioli last month.

“We are playing with great desire, the squad is giving me everything that I ask and have been working hard over this final chapter of the season,” Inzaghi told Radio Rai.

Miroslav Klose scored his sixth goal of the campaign, all of which have come since the middle of March and his coach was full of praise for the ageless German.

“Klose deserved the goal and is an example for all to follow,” the 40-year-old noted.

Lazio finished the match with nine men after Lucas Biglia received two yellow cards and Filip Djordjevic was shown a straight red for lashing out at the throat of Gaetano Letizia, but Inzaghi feels that the second dismissal might have been harsh.

“Djordjevic was pushed by Letizia, a yellow for both would have been fair,” Inzaghi noted.

“He should not let these episodes happen but we are sorry not to have Filip available for our last match against Fiorentina.”
