genoa atalantaAtalanta coach Edy Reja has praised his side’s performance in their 2-1 win over Genoa, saying it was La Dea’s attitude which saw them win the match.

Atalanta were under pressure for much of the match but they held out and were able to score two goals on the counter-attack.

“It was a good game, the players did really well and they showed that when we play with this character we can do anything,” Reja told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“It was the perfect end to a difficult season. However, we have reached our target for the season and today the guys gave me a great victory. ”

Reja was also asked about his future with the coach saying he would meet with the club this week to discuss his future.

“I have a meeting scheduled for Wednesday with the owners to evaluate everything,” Reja added. “To stay I would have to have my required budget met.

“I could sign a new deal but I need assurances the club will invest and be ambitious. ”
