AS Roma v Empoli FC - Serie ARoma defender Lucas Digne has admitted it is his preference to remain in the Italian capital ahead of next season after an impressive finish to the Serie A campaign.

The 22-year-old full-back hopes his loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain is made permanent for the upcoming season as the Giallorossi will be looking to build on a third place finish under the guidance of Luciano Spalletti.

“If it were up to me, I would stay in Rome,” Digne told RMC Radio in France.

“I have no decision-making power, I haven’t yet discussed it with PSG. I’m concentrating on the Euros for the moment. We’ll see about it later.

“I’ve had a very good season with Roma and I feel very good at this club.”

Digne made a total of 32 league appearances, scoring three goals since arriving in Rome last August.
