Juventus was reflective of their season.

Paulo Dybala netted twice and claimed an assist in an imperious performance from the newly crowned Italian champions.

“If we can observe and analyse what happened this campaign, then I believe we can improve next season,” Montella declared post match.

“From the management to the technical staff and to the players we all have to remember this season learn from these experiences.

“We managed to avoid relegation but we were unconvincing in our performances, today we faces a Juventus side superior in all areas.

“The performance today mirrored our campaign, we have to ensure that this negative experience is constructive to improving next season.”

Montella was then quizzed on whether he would still be in charge at Sampdoria, with persistent links to the vacant Azzurri job.

“I have a contract here and I intend to honour it, there will be talks with the leadership on improving aspects of the team.

I have an excellent relationship with the Sampdoria hierarchy and there is great respect from both sides,” he concluded.

Sampdoria could drop to 16th by the end of the weekend should Udinese win, but are still safe from relegation.
