Vazquez Hellas Verona PalermoTottenham Hotspur are among a number of clubs who have been linked to a summer move for Palermo’s Franco Vazquez.

The Argentine-born Italy international announced that he would be leaving Sicily after the Rosanero survived on the final day of the season with a win over Hellas Verona.

According the The Mirror, Spurs are attempting to lure the attacking midfielder to north London with their promise of Champions League football.

Other Serie A sides such as Napoli, Lazio and Roma are also thought to be interested although Tottenham would likely be able to offer Vazquez more money in spite of the club’s moderate wage structure.

The naturalised Italian made 36 appearances during the 2015-16 season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists for his teammates during a difficult season.
