Trofeo TIM 2014 - AC Milan's Menez celebrates penalty v SassuoloAC Milan forward Jeremy Menez could be set to return to France this summer, with Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille interested in capturing his services.

The Frenchman departed from Paris Saint Germain to join the Rossoneri in 2014 and amassed a total of 16 goals during his first season, though has since dropped down the pecking order following a campaign marred by unfortunate injuries.

According to France Football, Menez may now been thrown a lifeline from his home country, with Marseille reported to be heavily interested in giving him a chance to revive his career.

With current forward Michy Batshuayi linked with a move away to Serie A champions Juventus, les Olympiens are on the lookout for a replacement striker and could well take a gamble on the 29-year-old.

Milan are looking to save money on their wage bill and could be keen to cut ties with Menez, though it remains to be seen whether the player himself would be willing to accept the switch or instead hold out for other offers.
