Antonio Conte’s side face Germany on Saturday night for a place in the Euro 2016 semi-finals, in a fixture which has been entertaining in the past and promises to be an enthralling watch once more, between 2012’s finalist and the current world champions.

“We are all important and we are all happy that we’re close, it means we’re giving so much for the team and we want to continue allowing the fans to dream,” Insigne said at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

On a personal level, the 25-year-old said he was not fussed about his own glory on the field or getting his own name on the scoresheet, as the team comes first.

“When I am called up I try to do my best, whether there are goals or not I don’t mind,” he added.

“Who scores is not important, rather the victory and then the way we move on.”

Should Italy beat Germany in Bordeaux, they will face either France or surprise package Iceland in the semi-final.
