ZielinskiSerie A runners-up Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Poland international impressed whilst on loan at Empoli this past season and his exploits have both earned him a call up to the European Championship as well as garnered the interest of various clubs across Europe, and Udinese president Mario Soldati appears ready to sell to the highest bidder.

“Napoli have been interested in the player for a long time but there are no negotiations as of yet,” Soldati told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“However, they will need to beat the competition of some English teams if they really want him.”

Reports in England suggest that Liverpool are at least side interested in the 22-year-old.

Zielinski enjoyed a breakout campaign at the Stadio Carlo Castellani last season, accumulating 35 Serie A appearances and managing five goals and six assists.

These impressive displays have seemingly priced the Azzurri out of a permanent extension.
