Napoli boss claims to have a deal with Udinese for Zielinski

ZielinskiNapoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has claimed to the press to have reached an agreement with Udinese for midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Polish attacking midfielder is admittedly one of the Azzurri’s targets in the upcoming transfer window.

“I have reached an agreement with Udinese’s president [Giampaolo] Pozzo,” De Laurentiis said to Premium Sport, “we only needed twenty minutes to close the deal.

“However, up to this moment, the player is refusing the transfer.”

De Laurentiis’ words confirm what the rumours diffused by Il Messagero Veneto have been reporting, with a deal in the region of €15 million being closed between Napoli and Udinese.

The deal could also include full-back Camilo Zuniga as partial compensation, reports indicate.

Zielinski, 22 years old, has maintained stunning form throughout the past season, on a loan spell to Empoli.

He accumulated 35 Serie A appearances, scoring five goals and delivering six assists in the process.
