Napoli are close to renewing the contract of defender Elseid Hysaj to make sure he stays at the Stadio San Paolo.
The Albanian international had been linked with moves away from the Partenopei this summer, most notably a possible transfer to English Premier League side Arsenal, however his current employers are keen to stamp out any possibility of a departure.
As reported by GazzaMercato, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli has had positive talks with the agent of Hysaj, Mario Giuffredi, about a contract extension to keep the player at Napoli until 2021 along with a pay rise from €600,000 to €1.5 million per year.
Hysaj moved to Napoli from fellow Serie A side Empoli at the start of last season, appearing 43 times in all competitions for them since, including all but one of their league games last year.
