After four years and five Scudetto triumphs with Juventus, midfielder Simone Padoin has joined Cagliari on a permanent deal.
The 32-year-old appeared 106 times for the Bianconeri between 2012 and 2016, however, he often didn’t have a secure place in the starting line-up for league games and has thus moved away to find more game time.
As announced by the official website of Cagliari, Padoin has signed a three-year contract with the Rossoblu in hopes that he will help them secure their place in Serie A after being promoted last season.
The fee is expected to be in the region of €600,000.
Before moving to Turin, Padoin was part of the Atalanta yotuh academy before joining Vicenza and moving back to La Dea in 2007, helping them gain promotion back to the Italian top-flight by winning Serie B in 2010-11.
