Hernan Toledo has confirmed he is leaving Velez Sarsfield to join Serie A side Fiorentina on loan, with the Italian club having an option to buy.
Fiorentina can purchase the player outright at the end of the 2016-17 campaign for around €7 million.
“I am really happy to join a top league, such as Serie A,” said Toledo for Firenzeviola.it. “I cannot wait to start.”
The Argentine continued to comment on his inspirations in the game, naming compatriot Angel Di Maria.
“I only have Di Maria as a role model in football. I find him enchanting as a player.”
The pacey attacking midfielder who can operate in both wings became an important player for Velez Sarsfield in last six months scoring once and assisting four times in 13 matches.
