Higuain - Torino FC v SSC Napoli - Serie AGonzalo Higuain has completed his move away from Napoli in order to join reigning Scudetto holders Juventus for €94.7 million.

In an attempt to strengthen their squad to challenge for silverware in the Champions League, the Bianconeri have turned to last season’s capocannoniere, who broke Serie A records by scoring 36 goals in 35 appearances.

Lega Serie A confirmed the transfer on their official website on Tuesday afternoon, after weeks of speculation building around the possibility of the move.

At one point, the deal seemed to be off, when both Aurelio De Laurentiis and Giuseppe Marotta dismissed the viability of the move, however, Juve have since met El Pipita’s release clause and captured their No.1 transfer target of the summer.

Since making his Partenopei debut, Pipa has found the net 71 times in Serie A, a remarkable 24 strikes more than any other player during this time.

Higuain joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013 for €38m and has since gone on to score 91 goals in 146 appearances in all competitions.
