ImmobileSevilla striker Ciro Immobile could make a Serie A return this summer, with Lazio keen on offering the Italian an escape route from Spain.

The Italian international is deemed surplus to requirements by new Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli and Lazio are keen to sign him as a replacement for Miroslav Klose.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio are prepared to pay €2 million for a one-year loan deal with a compulsory €8m purchase at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Should the deal go through, Immobile will sign a five-year contract worth €2m a year plus bonuses, making him the highest paid player at Lazio.

After the 2013-14 season, Immobile was in high demand after becoming the top scorer in Serie A, but since then he has failed to leave a mark at Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla.

He returned briefly to Torino last season on a six-month loan deal, scoring five goals in 14 matches; however, the Granata opted against making the deal permanent.
