Monaco reveal signing of Torino captain

Kamil Glik TorinoTorino captain Kamil Glik has completed a €15 million move to Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Having spent the last five seasons at the Stadio Olimpico, three of which were as club captain, the Polish centre-back has put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

“President Urbano Cairo wishes to thank Kamil Glik for his grit, commitment and passion that was evident during his time at Toro,” read a statement on Torino’s official website confirming the transfer.

“Together, we shared five beautiful years full of intense emotion and joy.

“The president and all involved with Torino FC fondly hope for the best for Kamil.

“Goodbye, Kamil, and always, good luck.”

Glik joined the Granata in 2011 from Palermo, having spent some time on loan at Bari during the 2010-11 campaign.
