Fiorentina have now joined the race for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marko Rog, however Napoli still look in pole position to sign him.
The Partenopei had previously offered the Croatian club a €35 million deal for both Rog and Marko Pjaca, however the latter recently completed a move to Juventus and the potential double transfer collapsed.
According to GazzaMercato, however, they could still bring in the services of Rog, but face competition from Fiorentina who have spoken with the player’s agent, Fali Ramadani.
La Viola are expected to fall behind, though, with Napoli set to beat them to the signature of the 21-year-old.
In the meantime, Napoli are focusing on securing Olympique Lyonnais defender Corentin Tolisso, while trying to retain the services of star striker Gonzalo Higuain, who has been heavily linked with a switch to Juventus.
