real madrid nachoReal Madrid defender Nacho is reportedly close to completing a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in favour of joining Roma.

The Giallorossi have been keeping tabs on the defender since the beginning of the year and are thought to be nearing agreement of a €11 million deal, with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini having met with the player’s agent during the week.

Furthermore, AS report that the player’s shirt has been removed from Los Blancos’ online store, adding fuel to the flaming speculation suggesting his departure is all but confirmed.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has been at Madrid giants for 15 years, after joining the club’s youth academy in 2001.

During his time in the Real Madrid first team, Nacho has won a long list of honours, including two Champions Leagues, one UEFA Super Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, a Copa del Rey and one Spanish Supercopa.

Nacho would be a welcome addition at the Stadio Olimpico, with Luciano Spalletti already losing Lucas Digne from his defensive ranks this summer, while Antonio Rudiger will likely miss a large portion of the 2016-17 season with injury.
